After winning the "Number 1 Brand" award in 2009, Daiso followed up by winning the Golden Torch Award, Taiwan's highest corporate award.

In 2013, Daiso received the Golden Torch Award, Taiwan's highest corporate award. While other Japanese companies were raising their prices due to the impact of the strong yen, Daiso's achievement in maintaining its uniform NT$39 price level was recognized, and its focus on improvements to the interior and fittings of its stores, even in the midst of recession, was also highly regarded.

What is the Golden Torch Award?
This is a corporate award sponsored by the Outstanding Enterprise Manager Association of the Republic of China, which is intended to promote management innovation in companies and organizations. In 2013, leading global companies such as Citibank and DHL also received the award. The companies which win the award are expected to fulfil the role of lighting the path of development for each industry.

According to "STORES" magazine published by the American Retailers Association, Daiso ranks in at number 10 among the fastest growing retailers in the world.

Winner of the 2006 Retail ME Award for Best Retailer in an area covering eight Middle Eastern countries!

The awards ceremony was held at the Hotel Marina Jumeirah in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on February 19, 2007, and company president Manu (center) attended, representing Daiso Value Store.

What is the Retail ME Award / International Retailer Division?
This is an award given to a retail company which is expanding internationally in the area comprised of eight Middle Eastern countries (UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Lebanon, Yemen, Saudi Arabia) and which excels all-round in categories including management, layout, service, and cleanliness. In 2006, there were 54 finalists for the Retail ME Award, and from these, Daiso Value Store was selected as the winner in the International Retailer Division.
